About the Mauritanian Association of Pelagic Valorization Industries (AMIVP)

The Mauritanian Association of Pelagic Valorization Industries (AMIVP) has the following objectives: the study, defense of both collective and individual rights, as well as material and moral interests; and the representation of economic, industrial, social, and commercial interests of its members. It aims, among other objectives:

• Participation in the exploitation of pelagic fishery resources in the Exclusive Economic Zone (ZEE) of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
• Implementation and/or participation in studies, projects, and any action related to the pelagic sector for the benefit of Mauritania.
• Conscious and responsible participation in any effort for the economic and social development of Mauritania.
• Establishment of cooperative relationships with legally constituted social partners to create a harmonious framework for the economic and social development of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
• Collection, processing, and dissemination of all information related to the pelagic fishing sector.
• Identification and search for financing for projects designated as priorities by the development plan and related to the pelagic sector.
• Contribution to the realization of profitable projects initiated by the members.
• Creation of local added value and decent employment.
